At Bar EL POZERO «puñetica», on Avenida de la Paz 66, we serve homemade tapas, freshly made burgers and cold cañas on tap. The kind of place where you always run into someone you know.
El poZero isn't a plan, it's a habit. We open at first light and close before lunch is over, and the whole neighborhood passes through in between.
By eight the espresso machine is already warm. The kiosk owner walks in, the neighbor from the second floor, the early riser who'd rather still be asleep. Café con leche, toast, and a ‘buenos días’ that tastes like a good routine.
Midday creeps in, chairs pull closer, and out comes the board: manchego cheese, jamón, chorizo, olives and crisps like the law demands. One vermút, one caña, and the sobremesa stretches on until it's time to close.
On Thursdays we bring out the big jarra at friends' prices before the shutters come down. The radio hums in the background, the bar fills up, and nobody's in a hurry to leave. Puñetica — this is a Spanish bar.
